Greetings and Salutations!
My name is Gabby, and I’m a 21 year old Detroit and Ann Arbor based photographer and writer.
I fell into photography at 16 years old as a way to cope with the boredom and stress I was experiencing while being treated for cancer. It has become a great love of mine, and my style is constantly evolving. I love to capture people in their true form–their faces, personalities, personal style, etc. I’m constantly learning new things, developing my eye, and adding to my aesthetic every time I pick up my camera.
I’m currently a student at the School of Nursing at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. And as a nurse, I hope to one day be able to use my experiences to help better the lives of my patients. Through school, I’m involved with the Michigan Daily as a staff photographer, The Michiganesian Yearbook as the Senior Photo Editor, and the Michigan Hockey Media Team as an intern for the 2022-2023 school year. All of these organizations have given me great opportunity and insight with the world of photography. My plan is to continue to pursue photography when I graduate, whether that is in editorial, photojournalism, or sports.
Writing has always been a secret scapegoat for me. I love to write about my personal experiences and create stories as well. Through my writing, I aim to create a safe and warm space where my readers can relate and hopefully learn a thing a two. I hope to always be able to keep both things with me throughout my life and career, because without the two I would probably be lost.
For any questions about shooting or even just about life, you can reach out to me through my instagram or through my contact page.
You’re an inspiration!
