about me

Greetings and Salutations!

My name is Gabby, and I’m a 19 year old Detroit and Ann Arbor based photographer and writer.

I fell into photography at 16 years old as a way to cope with the boredom and stress I was experiencing while being treated for cancer. It has become a great love of mine, and my style is constantly evolving. I love to capture people in their true form–their faces, personalities, personal style, etc. I’m constantly learning new things, developing my eye, and adding to my aesthetic every time I pick up my camera.

I’m currently a student at the School of Nursing at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. And as a nurse, I hope to one day be able to use my experiences to help better the lives of my patients. Through school, I’m involved with the Michigan Daily and SHEI Magazine as a staff photographer. Both of these organizations have given me great opportunity and insight with the world of photography. Along with this, I have recently began working as a testing photographer with DMM Models, and hope to continue to break into the world of fashion and editorial photography. My plan is to continue to pursue photography when I graduate, whether that is in editorial, photojournalism, or sports.

Writing has always been a secret scapegoat for me. I love to write about my personal experiences and create stories as well. Through my writing, I aim to create a safe and warm space where my readers can relate and hopefully learn a thing a two. I hope to always be able to keep both things with me throughout my life and career, because without the two I would probably be lost.

For any questions about shooting or even just about life, you can reach out to me through my instagram or through my contact page.
